Course Description

If you have been wanting to exercise but don’t have much time, are worried about hurting yourself, or don’t know where to start, this is the program for you!  Designed for beginners of all ages and suitable for many people with mobility and/or health issues, First Steps Home Fitness is the ultimate exercise program for beginners.  You will learn and implement the basics to help you develop a strong foundation and improve your posture.  Routines are short, just 11-13 minutes a day, to help make daily exercise possible. With the mindset coaching, you can make the mental shifts necessary for building your habit of exercise.

Phase 1 focuses on improving posture while increasing strength and flexibility around your joints and in your core while correcting typical muscular imbalances related to a modern lifestyle.  You will also build your cardiovascular stamina through simple movements.  I have been working one-on-one with clients from ages 10 to 87 for nine years, and these are the same exercises I use to get them started. Those clients, who started off inactive, now live confident, active, and empowered lives.  Now, you can access the same high-quality personal training on your own time from the comfort of your home for a fraction of the price.

The flexible structure of this 30-day program is designed to work for any schedule and learning style.  Do the routines anytime, anywhere.  You can follow along with the videos or do the exercises on your own.  The program is safe and appropriate for most ages and many health conditions, with doctor approval encouraged.  Minimal equipment is needed.  If you can’t get on the floor, no worries!  I have you covered with standing variations of every single floor-based exercise.  No planks, squats, push-ups, or lunges in Phase 1.  Whew!
